Winter ski season was officially opened at the resort Goderdzi, in the highlands of Adjara on December 28, 2018. The Director of the Mountain Resorts Development Company subordinated to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Teimuraz Gamtsemlidze and the Head of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tornike Rijvadze attended the opening ceremony of the ski resort.
During the winter season of 2018 - 2019, two large chairlifts (Gondola and Bubble type) will operate for tourists on the resort Goderdzi. In addition to the children zone and fast food outlets, two new chairlifts, 200-meter long stirrup and 80-meter long rolling carpet have been added to the new season’s skiing infrastructure.
The total length of the Goderdzi ski road is 8 km while the height from the sea level is 2365 meters.
